Position Summary
The Cloud Systems Engineer will focus on moving existing on-premise, solutions to the cloud as well as engineering new solutions with a cloud-first approach. As our use of the public cloud continues to increase and becomes more complex, this dedicated position will serve as the primary resource for critical IT initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with IT Cloud, Development, and Security teams to help formulate and implement a strategy for cloud including developing frameworks and internal standards and governing policies and procedures
  • Develop and maintain a well-balanced Cloud Governance framework based on industry standards
  • Develop cloud migration paths for our existing on-premise systems
  • Develop and implement standards and best practices as it relates to cloud solutions
  • Organize collaborative discussions with department stakeholders to ensure solutions are designed for successful deployment, security, and high availability in the cloud
  • Implement automation techniques to maximize efficiencies of our cloud based systems
  • Work with IT/Incident management teams to configure and manage system monitoring and alerts for our cloud infrastructure and resources
  • Develop and maintain documentation on our cloud solution business continuity
  • Consult with stakeholders on requirements for new and existing business/technology solutions. Partner Security and Development organizations to determine and implement innovative solutions to address technical and business needs.


Knowledge and Skills


  • 10+ years in IT (various roles) Development and/or infrastructure management
  • Proficiency with automation packages (Ansible, Chef, Puppet)
  • 3+ years of experience working with Public cloud environments (preferably Azure)
  • Extensive experience working closely with cross function teams (Dev, QA, and business teams).
  • Knowledge in architect and build pipeline, as well as end-to-end CI/CD process.
  • Superior collaboration and cross function communication skills
  • Extensive experience in IaaS and PaaS solutions
  • Experience deploying monitoring solutions in a cloud based environment
  • Experience with container platforms preferably Kubernetes and/or Docker.

  • Working knowledge of microservices architecture
  • Master-level scripting and automation abilities
