Business Service Engineer (Customer Support Medewerker)

 

 

POSITION SUMMARY

In the position of Customer Support Employee you will be part of Descartes' 1st line support team. You will assist our customers with the use of our software applications. You will handle our customers' questions about our Customs applications and assist our organization in improving these software applications. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • You provide support to customers with functional questions and problems about our software solutions.
  • You perform an initial analysis/research for technical questions and/or issues of our customers.  
  • You take care of a good communication to our customers about new software functionalities. 
  • You communicate with the research & development department about the software products.

 

SKILLS AND ATTITUDE

  • You have a basic knowledge of customs legislation and customs procedures (import, export, transit) or you are willing to follow a training course in this matter. 
  • You are interested in automated processes, Software and IT in general.
  • You have a good knowledge of the standard Microsoft Office applications. 
  • You have strong communication skills, both oral and written. 
  • You have an analytical mind and problem-solving skills. 
  • You are strong in documenting. 
  • You are a team player but can also work independently where quality is always paramount.
  • You are flexible, stress-resistant and customer-oriented. 
  • You're willing to work in a standby arrangement.
  • You have a good knowledge of both Dutch & English language

You will be working out of our office in Lier.
