Position Summary: The Marketing Specialist will be responsible for supporting the development and execution of a comprehensive pillar marketing plan (Transportation Management Solutions) focused on generation of quality sales leads, ensuring consistency with corporate positioning and communication across digital domains, and ultimately, supporting Descartes’ organizational and revenue generation objectives.


• Support the management, deployment and optimization of web-based content and assets in alignment with SEO related objectives and key results
• Support the development and execution of content for social media, sales toolkits, campaigns, events and other deliverables required by demand generation initiatives. 
• Collaborate with the sales teams to conduct research, ensure campaign processes and schedule execution of account-based efforts. 
• Support the assessment and measurement of all marketing concepts and campaigns to gauge success and define best practices for weekly and quarterly reporting to internal teams.  
• Support the tracking of program execution, maintenance and project finances to ensure quality and timeline expectations. 
• Develop and maintain a current understanding of industry trends, business challenges, topical issues, and more through research and engagement of industry resources including associations, publications, etc.
• Understand and execute marketing data management and segmentation. 
• Support identification of target markets, research business intelligence and build contact lists for marketing/sales campaigns via internal and external data sources. 

• Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Design, Business or Communications.
• Minimum of three years of experience in B2B marketing with demonstrable success in positioning and promoting enterprise software solutions and services (preferably supply chain and/or SAAS solutions). 
• Competence as a creative writer with an eye for great emails and landing pages
• Strong project and time management skills with problem-solving ability, and metrics-driven thinking
• Ability to present ideas is such a manner so that others understand them and encourages others to share ideas for the benefit of many. 
• Proactive with strong attention to detail and a positive attitude.
• Experience with website Content Management Systems (CMS) such as Drupal or WordPress is preferred.
• Experience with Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and keyword management tools such as BrightEdge is preferred.
• Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems and marketing automation tools, such as Microsoft Dynamics and / or Click Dimensions is a plus.
• Experience with Digital Advertising, Social, ABM & Multimedia Tools such as such as Google, LinkedIn, 6sense and Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.
