Reporting to the VP, Product Management- Broker Forwarder Execution Systems who will be responsible for assisting product planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle, including gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements and working closely with, sales, marketing, professional services and support to develop our product strategy and ensure that we deliver value to our customers. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the product supports the company's overall strategy and goals
 
Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with clients to gather new requirements
  • Gathers, manages, and prioritizes market/customer requirements.
  • Acts as the customer advocate articulating the user’s and/or buyer’s needs.
  • Works closely with sales, marketing, and support to develop & refine our product strategy.
  • Maintain an up-to-date record of all known requirements from multiple sources such as customers, sales in Aha
  • Analyse / evaluate new opportunities and verify proposed changes
  • Prepare requirements documents to a level suitable to be taken further by development teams
  • Prepare internal and external communications on product strategy matters
  • Work with business teams to develop and implement migration plans to move customers from legacy to current products.
  • Performs Market and competitive landscape research & analysis
  • Support sales in terms of product demonstrations and quarterly business reviews
  • Other responsibilities assigned as required


Requirements: 

  • Subject matter expertise in in international freight forwarding operations, both air and ocean freight. Ideally has worked on the system selection and or implementation.
  • Experience in defining and launching products that meet and exceed business objectives is preferred
  • Some project management experience would be desirable
  • Willingness and ability to take ownership to get the task done
  • A leader with strong people skills
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and consensus building skills
  • Ability to handle multiple concurrent projects independently
