As a member of Descartes’ Customer Support team, the Application Support Analyst is responsible for a portfolio of various applications.  Primary responsibilities are to ensure client retention and satisfaction; problem resolution and to grow existing business with clients.
 

Responsibilities

  • Answer and dispatch incoming support inquiries on a first-level basis to maintain proper service levels.
  • Escalate and resolve areas of concern as raised by clients; involve appropriate contacts in R&D and Product Team.
  • Ensure client retention and referral through building and maintaining relationships with clients and key personnel within customer companies.
  • Provide training to clients in the use of systems and applications.
  • Through a deep understanding of a client’s needs, help clients obtain the most from the existing applications they have licensed.
  • Maintaining customer contact and call ticket information within an existing database.
  • Alert sales team to opportunities for further sales within key clients; inform clients about other products the company offers.

 

Requirements

  • Ability to communicate effectively and clearly. (English and Spanish)
  • Previous experience working as a client relationship manager or a track record of managing client relationships or three years of sales/new business development in software.
  • Team oriented, with the ability to work independently
  • Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to build rapport with customers.
  • Proficiency with computer and spreadsheet software programs, including Microsoft Office suite products.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and consensus building skills.
  • Service oriented and solution driven.
  • Ability to organize and lead multiple concurrent projects independently.
