As Senior Vice President of Industry Solutions you will be responsible for developing go-to-market strategy, market segmentation, readiness assessments, value-propositions, commercial models, regulatory relationships, and sales enablement.  Your role will lead in identifying industry and product cross-sell solution opportunities and the required materials, training, and narratives to enhance our commercial success and demand for our content and solutions.


Reporting to the EVP of Product management,  you will have to develop close working relationships with Sales, Marketing, and Product Management leadership, and be able to spend time in the field (10-15% travel) working with partners, trade associations and regulatory bodies, lighthouse customers and strategic sales opportunities to develop and further our solution and product go-to-market portfolio.    


Internally, you will coordinate very closely with:

  • Lead a team of Industry Solutions specialists in developing and managing the department, programs, and procedures required to continuously improve impact of the team on growth by setting objectives and expected key results for the team
  • Product Managers to assist in setting pricing and packaging of solutions for target customers
  • Sales to build sales messages, sales kits/materials, and conduct training on our solution value propositions
  • Marketing to create programs for targeting customer segments with compelling message to increase awareness of Descartes capabilities and value to targeted markets
  • Partner Managers to identify and create partnerships for data sourcing, channel distribution, and strategic alliances


Externally, you will:

  • Represent and promote Descartes solutions at industry events, trade shows, and with the press as needed
  • Engage with Industry Analysts and other sources of information utilized by buyers in decision making
  • Represent and promote Descartes’ interests with industry, trade, and regulatory bodies as appropriate 
  • Engage with key accounts and prospect from time to time as needed
