We are currently seeking an Application Administrator to join our Business Support team. As a member of the team, you will be responsible for setup, configuration, maintenance and upgrades of our internal business applications. This includes performing regular maintenance activities, managing projects from start to finish, meeting deadlines, and provisioning of documentation.  You will be required to work closely and collaborate with other IT teams, and business units to achieve maximum results. Flexibility to support occasional afterhours escalations may be required.

 

Responsibilities:
•    Support and maintain operational stability of Descartes business applications. 
•    Ensure applications are patched and security issues are addressed in a timely manner.
•    Standardize approach to user management and ensure onboarding/offboarding processes are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
•    Proactively and with direction from business units, address configuration requirements of business applications
•    Assist in technical support of SAP ECC landscape.
•    Lead efforts to integrate business systems and processes to eliminate manual tasks.
•    Be a spokesperson for IT across business units and let security and IT best practices guide your decisions to drive adoption of standard business systems.
•    Help drive reduction in number of overall business systems and maintain key systems for each business unit.
•    Document configuration and processes.
•    Ensure applications are compliant with all relevant audit programs.

 

Experience and Skills:
•    Experience managing a wide variety of business applications
•    Experience as an SAP Basis Administrator
•    Experience with Microsoft Dynamics
•    Experience implementing SSO within a Microsoft 365 environment
•    Experience with SCIM provisioning
•    Comfortable presenting to executive staff or leadership staff and advocating for the right outcome
•    Ability to plan, organize and lead projects or be an individual contributor
•    Consensus building skills that will allow you to work well with others and achieve desired outcomes
•    Drives for consistency, process harmonization, and innovation across vendors
•    Examines complex functional issues, problem solves and drives for global best practices
•    Provides input in the selection process of strategic or emerging vendors


Qualifications:
•    Self-starter, security focused, goal oriented, and deadline driven. Someone who likes to get things done.
•    Must be a very strong team player with 5+ years of related work experience.
•    University Degree or College certification in an IT related field is preferred.
