Operations Administrator will support the Global Security Filings team on operational level of the project.

The successful candidate will be responsible for communication with Customs Authorities, communication with other teams cooperating on the project and/or implementation, testing and training activities on the project.

Responsibilities:

• Interact with team members and other teams to resolve the issues

• Develop and execute project plans

• Analyze customer requirements.

• Troubleshoot errors and issues reported by customers.

• Interface with customers and other Descartes departments.

• Audit and monitor messaging traffic

• Coordinates the resolution of issues as they arise

• Work with a number of VAN’s and operations groups to track project and monitor data flow

• Develop and maintain project documentation throughout the project

• Set up trading relationships for existing customers

• Provides ongoing support to other team members and colleagues

• Performs the testing after the development or configuration changes on the project

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

University education (Bachelor's degree)

University education (Master's degree)

 

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

The successful incumbent will possess the following qualifications and personal attributes:

• General PC skills; must be considered technically savvy

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, in English

• Other language (Spanish, French, Italian, German, other) is an advantage

• Good planning and organizational skills

• Analytic and problem-solving skills

• Team player with the ability to work independently

• Experience with different communication protocols (http, ftp, soap, MQ, smtp, other) is an advantage

• Experience with different document types and formats (XML, csv, EDIFACT, Cargo IMP, Cargo XML, ANSI) is an advantage
