Descartes is looking for a Senior Account Executive to join our Sales Team in the Netherlands to further grow our ambitious plans. We currently have an amazing team of 6 professionals in the Netherlands, Belgium and Switzerland.  

In this quota-carrying and fast-paced role, you continuously seek business derived from prospecting, Marketing leads and partner development. 


You will do annual and quarterly business planning to set up your plan for success. In addition, you pull in resources from Marketing, Services and Business Consultancy when and where needed.  


What should you bring?

  • You have proven track record in B2B SaaS sales and you will identify, develop, and close new business opportunities  

  • You will Maintain a rolling 90-day pipeline to meet or exceed quota 

  • You are familiar with selling added value or consultative selling  

  • You understand that prospects need help in their buying journey and you therefore work according to a predetermined plan and schedule    

  • You have won complex deals at executive level where you had identified all stakeholders 

  • You ask the right questions and are a very good listener 

  • You are curious, courageous, motivated, determined, persistent and passionate about winning new logo’s 

  • You are a team player, taking control and you are goal-oriented 

  • You want to continuously improve and have the ability to learn quickly 

  • You fluently read, write and speak in Dutch and English
