You facilitate and maintain successful relationships with customers in the Benelux area. By doing so you create, identify, qualify and develop new sales in line with the set targets. In your function of Customer Success Manager, you will report to the VP of Customs solutions EMEA who is heading an energetic sales team, willing to go that one step further to meet the customers’ expectations and get the deal closed. The sales team is supported by different corporate departments (marketing, pre-sales, legal) and by a local sales support organization.



  • You achieve your personal quarterly and annual sales targets
  • You will build value to displace the competition on something other than the price.
  • You will be a champion of Business development that thrive on the hunt.
  • You will successfully help our customers to develop a solution vision using your products as a centerpiece.
  • You will need to show your activities and understand the importance of tracking your data.
  • You develop new business with our customers
  • You ensure proactive face-to-face coverage of target accounts with appropriate forecasting.
  • You hand over new deals in a structured manner to the delivery organization and closely monitor customer satisfaction throughout the implementation phase.
  • You represent Descartes at events and seminars.
  • You are an enthusiastic ambassador of the Descartes organization and its customers
  • You are able to set up an Account Planning and create a sales plan accordingly.



  • You must be a team player, goal-oriented and a self-starter
  • You should ideally have Customs and/or Logistics Services experience.
  • You must be a problem solver with great listening skills and have the ability to ask the right questions.
  • 5+ years of direct sales experience.
  • Track record of consistently exceeding/ meeting personal quota targets in the software space
  • Execution of a highly proficient and repeatable sales process is required
  • You will need to have a proven track record of winning complex sales deals by using a consultative approach.
  • You must understand the value of business planning and be passionate about continuous improvement and can learn quickly and think on your feet.
  • You will need to be fluent in Dutch and English



The position can be based either in Amersfoort in the Netherland or in Lier in Belgium. #LI- Remote
