POSITION SUMMARY
We are looking for a developer to join the Descartes Content R&D team who is excited to help develop solutions for both our internal and external customers in denied and restricted parties’ screening. This person will contribute to all aspects of an application development life-cycle, including user requirements, functional specifications, design, coding, testing and documentation. The best candidate is someone who can work closely with the Technical Lead to create successful products at Descartes.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop new application functionality and maintain existing products.
- Provide enterprise level Tier 3 technical support to our customers.
- Communicates well with others in a collaborative technology team environment, as well as business and non-technical staff and customers.
- Assist in staff training and technical audits.
- Candidate should have good attention to detail, be able focus on task completion and deadlines, have a strong analytical ability and be detail oriented.
- Ability to quickly learn new skills and adapt to change in business goals.
- High standard of customer service and quality.
- Must be independently motivated and have a proactive outlook to anticipate and plan for future opportunities.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 4+ years proven software product development.
- Bachelor’s Degree (Computer Science or other engineering/scientific field preferred)
- Proficient in JavaScript, C#, MVC. Angular and TypeScript is a plus.
- Development Environment: Azure, IIS, MS SQL Server, and Visual Studio, TFS (Azure DevOps Server).
- Solid understanding of object-oriented design and software design patterns.
- Equally proficient in frontend and backend development.
- Familiarity developing Salesforce (Apex/Java) and NetSuite (SuiteScript 2.0) applications is a plus.
- Demonstrated experience working with Agile/Scrum framework.
Salary Range: $110,000 to $140,000 UY “Compensation information provided is a good faith estimate for this position only. Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary may include your specific skills as well as the years of experience you have. Similar positions located in different geographic regions will not necessarily receive the same compensation.
