Join Descartes Systems Group as a Professional Services Consultant

What You’ll Do

As a Consultant in our Professional Services team, you’ll be a trusted advisor, guiding clients through seamless end-to-end implementations of Descartes solutions. You’ll empower our customers to unlock operational excellence, working cross-functionally and collaboratively at every step.

Your day-to-day will involve:

•    Leading full-cycle solution implementations tailored to customer needs.
•    Running hands-on discovery, process mapping, and scoping sessions.
•    Collaborating with Sales, Development, Product, and Support teams.
•    Training and mentoring client users to drive product adoption and ROI.
•    Analyzing logistics performance and identifying continuous improvement opportunities.
•    Creating clear, customer-facing documentation and post-go-live support.
•    Recommending best practices and innovation strategies for logistics success.
•    Representing Descartes with professionalism, empathy, and respect.

What You Bring

You’re not just technically savvy—you’re also a confident communicator, a born problem-solver, and an advocate for your clients’ success.
Required:

•    Bachelor’s in computer science, Engineering, IT, Supply Chain, or related field. or equivalent experience.
•    3–5 years of experience in consulting, implementation, systems integration, or project delivery.
•    Knowledge of logistics optimization or last mile delivery solutions.
Technical Toolkit:
•    Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, and MS Project.
•    SQL fluency and ability to write efficient queries.
•    Experience working with RESTful APIs and JSON.
•    Comfort using analytics and KPIs to assess performance.
•    Ability to produce clear, structured documentation.

Soft Skills:

•    Exceptional communication with technical and non-technical audiences.
•    Strategic thinker with consultative approach to implementation.
•    Adaptability and resilience in a remote, fast-moving environment.

Bonus Points:

•    VBA or similar scripting knowledge.
•    Familiarity with Agile/Scrum delivery methods.

Salary Range: $7,500 to $8,200 Reales “Compensation information provided is a good faith estimate for this position only. Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary may include your specific skills as well as the years of experience you have. Similar positions located in different geographic regions will not necessarily receive the same compensation.”
