Reporting to the Director of Sales – Transportation Management, we are looking for an Account Executive to join us and shape the best transport solutions for our small and mid-market clients. You will build and scale your book of business prospecting within current accounts and into new areas, supported by a cross-functional team including account-based marketing, lead generation, customer support, and customer success.

Your priorities:
●    Grow the business.You will learn, follow, and build upon our proven methodology. You will draw on your lived experiences, lessons learned, and insights into prospects/customers, to work with the team. Our core focus is increasing organic growth with domain expertise and a strong customer-centric consultative approach both with prospects and our 22,000 accounts.
●    Understand how to realize value. You will take a consultative approach to analyze the customer’s business value opportunities.You will deepen your understanding of the solution capabilities to articulate the business impact that Descartes’ solutions can bring.
●    Build trust-based business relationships.You will be a trusted business advisor, highlighting and discussing business value in monetary terms with senior executives and leadership of the customer. You will help design a customized winning approach with a clear value driven message, leveraging your insights into the customers’ specific transportation management needs.

What you bring:

A proven history of success. You have grit over grades and the drive to to grow business through designing solutions and fostering influential relationships. You are empathetic, consultative, and passionate about bringing clients the technology solutions they need to make their days easier and their work more efficient. You can successfully engage clients to secure new and repeat business. You have a high degree of intellectual curiosity and you are driven to understand the potential customers’ business goals and values. Going the extra mile to exceed customer expectations and making a material difference is what you like to do. You preferably have experience in the logistics industry and/or selling SaaS and technology products.

Business planning. You are metrics-driven and insightful; diligent at measuring and communicating progress towards the plan, identifying roadblocks, and coming up with appropriate solutions.

You are a trusted advisor able to influence decision-makers. You have an appreciation for diverse experiences and approaches, and you are always open to learning and sharing ideas.
