We are currently looking for a Linux Systems Engineer in Slovakia to join our Global Linux Team. This team consists of several System Engineers in NA and EMEA regions.
The possibilities are to work from offices in Námestovo, Žilina, Ostrava, or remote.
Responsibilities:
- Implement and maintain on premise and cloud infrastructure on a 24x7x365 basis, and responding to incidents in a timely manner.
- Apply changes and updates following our change processes.
- Work closely with Operations, Engineering, Development and other departments.
- Migrate on premise environments to the cloud.
- Report to the Global Linux Manager.
- Participate in the on call team.
- Align new acquisitions and system deployments with Standard Operating Procedures and integrate IT Systems.
- Create technical documentation and procedures related to assigned tasks or projects.
- Plan and carry out after-hours changes to meet business and operational needs.

- An experienced Linux engineer able to manage: disk management and repair, security, centralized logging, base system services (SSHD, NTPD, DNS, firewalld), user management, clustering, network stack, other services (Apache, HAFTP, Squid, ProFTPd, Postfix, Bind, LDAP)
- Always willing to learn and improve technical skills
- A team player
- Proven problem solving skills, service oriented, and solution driven
- Experience with incident, change and problem management procedures in an ITIL driven environment
Working experiences considered as an asset
- Knowledge of Ansible and GitLab
- Experience with working in cloud environments such as Azure, AWS or Google
Qualifications and Certifications (preferred)
- LPI Certifications
- Linux certifications such as RHCSA and/or RHCSE
- College diploma or university degree in computer science or equivalent
